FLAME SPRAY EQUIPMENT

OPERATION PRINCIPLE OF EQUIPMENT

The thermoplastic powder is ejected from the tank into a spray gun. Powder particles passing through the core of the flame are melted to the liquid phase and fall on the painted surface, forming a uniform coating.

Advantages of the technology:

  • the ability of coating in place without dismantling of structures;
  • flexibility and mobility;
  • easy maintenance;
  • easy repair damaged painted area;
  • fast results — just painted items ready for operation;
  • no need for special protection of nearby equipment, vehicles, etc.;
  • the coating is environmentally safe.

AVAILABLE COATING MATERIALS

The method of the flame spraying is applicable mainly for thermoplastic powder coatings and their hybrids.
In cooperation with the world leader in the production of thermoplastic powders PULRONTM (subdivision of PULVER -Turkey), a special 101 FL series was developed for our equipment. This is a series of polyethylene based on polyolefin’s with an increased temperature of the pigment dye diffusion. Under the influence of the flame temperature, the paint retains its color in accordance with the RAL scale.

  • superior resistance to sun, salt and sea water;
  • excellent impact and sand abrasion resistance;
  • premium quality, glossy appearance;
  • will not crack, chip, flake or fracture;
  • low temperature performance to -70°C;
  • excellent adhesion to steel, iron and aluminium;
  • no requirement for a primer;
  • approvals for contact with food and drinking water;
  • free of Bisphenol A (BPA), PVC, halogens, phthalates and heavy metals.

Lab tests and real world use indicate working life of over 70 years.
Swedish Corrosion Institute tests show underground life of polyethylene powders coating over 200 years.

The method of flame spraying appeared recently and is currently in the stage of intensive development. This is a promising alternative to the classical method of powder coatings.

MODEL MFS 4 «BARBARIAN»

This model has reached a fundamentally other level of manufacturability and operational properties. A fully computerized control system ensures automatic retention of flame burning parameters and powder feeding. This allowed programmatically to install all necessary modes and create a fairly simple management interface. It is enough for the operator to select the used paint and the type of spray gun in the menu. The control system itself will automatically hold the specified parameters for this mode.
