PRELIMINARY OBSERVATIONS ON PROBLEM OF PROFILE SYSTEMS BENDING

Smooth arc elements have several advantages over the corner joints. So such operation as «bending» of core metal blanks is widely used in many industries. For example, in the construction while manufacturing of aluminum windows, doors, facades, bent profile due to its attractiveness and ease can change the appearance of architectural structures.

Therefore, development of equipment and technology of aluminum profiles bending received a considerable attention.

The most universal way of profile’s bending is based on movement of workpiece through rollers while lowering of controlled bending rolls.

The ability to control speed on two coordinates (bending and pushing) significantly affects the accuracy and quality of bending.

In addition, the important role plays the distance between pushing rollers. Therefore, those benders, which provide a function of «convergence – distance» of rollers, have a wide range of machined profiles with a higher quality of bending.

The lineup of bending equipment is wide enough.

Generally, bending machines are available in various versions and with different levels of complexity.

Bending of aluminum profiles with complex configuration requires the use of CNC machines, as any section of profile can be broken down into pieces and every piece can be bended with corrected speed and distance.

In the end it should be noted that due to the large variety of profile designs, as well as features of coating, there is no single, theoretically grounded recommendations.

Each profile, each bending variant requires the development of its own methodology, the development of additional equipment.
