EQUIPMENT

One of the most common problems when applying powder coating is the loss of contact between the part and its hang on – loss of grounding. As a rule, this occurs when reusing hang on that already have a coating from past painting. Or the contact between the hang on and the conveyor system is lost. Poor grounding reduces the efficiency of the powder coating application process and leads to an uneven layer of applied powder. Most of the powder does not settle on the parts, but falls on the floor. All this leads to excessive consumption of powder and an increase in the cost of painting. To facilitate the search for the causes of grounding loss, we propose to use a specialized device – a ground tester.
